Terms & Conditions
Version 5.0 | Last updated: June 2026
These Terms apply to all users of the Zouris Platform globally, including users in the UAE, GCC countries, the EU/EEA, and internationally. Where mandatory consumer protection or digital services laws in your jurisdiction impose rights that cannot be contractually excluded, those rights apply regardless of what these Terms say.
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form a binding legal agreement between you and Zouris FZE (“Zouris”, “we”, “us”, “our”), registered at Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone, Sharjah, UAE, governing your access to and use of the Zouris Platform — including the website at www.zouris.io and the Zouris mobile application on iOS and Android (together, the “Platform”).
By registering an account or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:
You are at least 18 years of age
You have full legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
You are not prohibited from using the Platform under any applicable law
All information you provide during registration is accurate and complete
Zouris does not knowingly permit access to persons under 18. If we discover an account belonging to a minor, we will terminate it immediately. If you become aware that a minor has registered, please notify us at admin@zouris.io.
2. Nature of the Platform
Zouris is a technology marketplace only. It connects independent wellness practitioners (“Practitioners” or “Coaches”) with users (“Clients”) and provides access to wellness content, tools, and community features.
Zouris does NOT provide:
Medical care, clinical diagnosis, or treatment of any kind
Psychological or psychiatric therapy or counselling
Mental health or crisis intervention services
Emergency support of any nature
Any regulated professional health, medical, or clinical service
All Practitioners operate independently on the Platform. Zouris does not supervise, direct, or control Practitioners in the delivery of their services, and does not guarantee results, outcomes, or personal transformation of any kind.
If you are in a mental health crisis or medical emergency, do not rely on this Platform. Contact emergency services or a licensed mental health professional immediately. In the UAE, you may contact the Ministry of Health and Prevention helpline: 800-HOPE (4673).
3. Account Registration and Security
To access most Platform features, you must create an account. You agree to:
Provide accurate, current, and complete information at registration and keep it updated
Keep your login credentials strictly confidential
Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account at admin@zouris.io
Accept responsibility for all activity conducted under your account
Not share, sell, or transfer your account to any third party
Zouris reserves the right to refuse registration or terminate accounts at its sole discretion, including where registration information is false or where the account is used in breach of these Terms.
4. Platform Services
4.1 Session Bookings
Clients may browse Practitioner profiles and book 1:1 sessions through the Platform. Session bookings are subject to Practitioner availability. Once a booking is confirmed and payment processed, a binding service agreement exists between the Client and the Practitioner. Zouris facilitates the booking but is not a party to the service agreement between Client and Practitioner.
4.2 Content Library
The Platform provides access to guided meditations, sound healing tracks, affirmations, and other wellness content. All content is available for personal, non-commercial use only, and subject to the licensing restrictions in Section 13. Content in the library is not a substitute for professional advice or treatment.
4.3 Community Features
The Platform includes a community feed, groups, and events. By participating, you agree to the Community Guidelines in Section 8. Community content is visible to other Platform users. Do not share confidential, clinical, or identifying information about others in community spaces.
4.4 Journaling
The Platform includes a private journaling feature. Journal entries are personal and private. Zouris does not access, review, or share journal entries except as required by applicable law or where necessary to prevent imminent harm to you or others.
4.5 Practitioner Profiles
Practitioner profiles are created and maintained by Practitioners themselves. Zouris reviews applications and requires submission of professional credentials during onboarding but does not independently guarantee the ongoing accuracy, sufficiency, or legal validity of any listed qualification. Users should conduct their own due diligence before booking.
5. Payments and Pricing
5.1 Session Fees
Session fees are set by each Practitioner and displayed on their profile and at checkout. Payment for 1:1 sessions is processed at the time of booking via Stripe. Subscriptions and course purchases are processed via Apple Pay through the App Store. Zouris collects a platform commission from each transaction as set out in the Practitioner Agreement.
5.2 Pricing Display
In compliance with UAE Consumer Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 15 of 2020, as amended by Federal Decree-Law No. 5 of 2023), prices are displayed clearly in UAE Dirhams (AED). No hidden fees will be added at checkout. No surcharge will be applied for any payment method.
5.3 Taxes
Zouris FZE is registered for Corporate Tax in the UAE in accordance with Federal Decree-Law No. 47 of 2022 on the Taxation of Corporations and Businesses. Zouris is not currently registered for VAT. Session fees displayed on the Platform do not include VAT. Should Zouris become VAT-registered in future, affected pricing will be updated and users notified in advance.
5.4 Payment Security
Payment data is processed by our third-party payment processors (Stripe for 1:1 sessions; Apple Pay for subscriptions and courses) and is not stored on Zouris systems. Zouris does not store full card numbers. All payment data is handled in accordance with PCI-DSS standards by our processors.
5.5 Pricing Changes
Practitioners may update their session fees at any time. Fee changes do not affect confirmed bookings already paid. Zouris reserves the right to update its platform commission structure with 30 days’ prior notice to Practitioners.
6. Cancellations, No-Shows, and Refunds
6.1 Client Cancellations
The following cancellation terms apply universally to all session bookings on the Platform. The cancellation policy is displayed at checkout before payment is taken, confirmed in a pop-up notification immediately after payment is completed, and included in the booking confirmation email.
Cancellation more than 24 hours before the session: full refund, initiated by Zouris within 2 business days via Stripe
Cancellation less than 24 hours before the session: no refund
No-show (failure to attend, or arrival more than 10 minutes after the scheduled start time): no refund
6.2 Practitioner Cancellations
If a Practitioner cancels a confirmed session for any reason, you are entitled to a full refund of the session fee. Zouris will initiate the refund within 3 business days of the cancellation being confirmed via Stripe. Funds typically appear in your account within 5–10 business days of initiation. No platform credit is offered in lieu of a cash refund.
6.3 Refund Requests and Full Policy
All cancellation, no-show, and refund matters are governed by the Zouris Refund & Cancellation Policy, available at www.zouris.io/refund-policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Refund Policy sets out full details including exceptional circumstances, rescheduling, service quality disputes, and refund timelines. In the event of any inconsistency between this Section 6 and the Refund Policy, the Refund Policy prevails.
Submit refund requests to admin@zouris.io with your booking reference. Zouris aims to respond to all queries within 3 business days.
6.4 Subscriptions and Digital Content
Subscriptions and course purchases are processed via Apple Pay and are non-refundable once accessed. Access to digital content (meditations, sound tracks, affirmations) is similarly non-refundable once accessed. Exceptions apply where content is materially misdescribed or a technical failure prevents access — see the Refund Policy Section 8 for full details including applicable Apple Pay refund timelines.
6.5 Consumer Protection Rights
Nothing in this Section limits your statutory rights under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection or equivalent mandatory law in your jurisdiction. If a service was not delivered as described, you retain the right to seek a remedy under applicable law.
7. Acceptable Use
By using the Platform, you agree not to:
Violate any applicable law or regulation
Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity or qualifications
Upload, post, or transmit false, misleading, harmful, or offensive content
Harass, abuse, threaten, bully, or exploit other users, Practitioners, or Zouris personnel
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, other accounts, or Zouris systems
Scrape, copy, harvest, or systematically download Platform content without written permission
Use the Platform for dating, romantic solicitation, or any purpose unrelated to wellness
Post content that is discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, or incites hatred
Use the Platform to promote competing services or solicit other users off-Platform
Attempt to circumvent the Platform by arranging services outside Zouris with Practitioners you first encountered through the Platform (see Section 12)
Upload malware, viruses, or any harmful code
Use automated bots, scrapers, or crawlers without written permission
Violation of these Terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without notice or refund.
8. Community Guidelines
The Zouris community is a space for authentic wellness conversation and mutual support. When participating in community features, you agree to:
Be respectful and constructive in all interactions
Share only content that is accurate to the best of your knowledge
Not promote external services, products, or platforms without Zouris approval
Not share misinformation about health, wellness, or any medical matter
Not post content that is harmful, offensive, discriminatory, or sexually explicit
Not share personally identifiable information about others without their consent
Respect the privacy of session content and not disclose what Practitioners or users have shared in private or session contexts
Zouris moderates community content and reserves the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines and to suspend or permanently ban accounts of repeat offenders. Zouris is not obligated to monitor all content but will act promptly on reports.
9. No Professional Advice and Wellness Disclaimer
9.1 Informational Purpose Only
All content on the Platform — including Practitioner content, articles, meditations, and community posts — is for general informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on the Platform constitutes, replaces, or should be treated as medical advice, clinical diagnosis, psychiatric or psychological therapy, nutritional advice, legal advice, or financial advice. Always consult a qualified, licensed professional before making decisions about your physical or mental health.
9.2 Nature of Wellness Modalities
Zouris hosts Practitioners offering a wide range of holistic and complementary wellness modalities, including but not limited to:
Hypnosis-based coaching and inner work
Subconscious exploration and regression work
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and cognitive behavioural techniques
Somatic healing, breathwork, and body-based trauma release
Energy healing, Reiki, and sound healing
Akashic Record reading, shadow work, and inner child work
Moon rituals, spiritual practices, and mystical traditions
The efficacy of complementary and holistic wellness practices is not universally recognised by mainstream medicine. Some modalities, such as subconscious exploration and Akashic Record reading, involve subjective, interpretive, or spiritual frameworks and are not scientifically validated as literal or therapeutic processes. Zouris does not endorse any specific belief system or claim of healing outcomes.
9.3 Contraindications and Suitability
Certain modalities available on the Platform — particularly those involving hypnosis, regression, somatic trauma release, and deep emotional processing — may not be suitable for all individuals. We strongly recommend that you do NOT book these types of sessions if you:
Have been diagnosed with, or are currently experiencing, a psychotic disorder, schizophrenia, or active delusional thinking
Have a history of severe dissociative disorder
Are currently in an acute mental health crisis
Are under the age of 18
Have a significant psychiatric condition that has not been discussed with your treating mental health professional
If you have any mental health diagnosis or are currently working with a psychiatrist or therapist, we strongly recommend consulting your treating professional before booking sessions involving hypnosis-based coaching, regression work, trauma-based somatic work, or spiritual practices that involve accessing the subconscious.
Zouris Practitioners are not licensed mental health clinicians unless explicitly and separately credentialed as such. By booking a session, you acknowledge that you have considered your own suitability for the modality.
This contraindication notice does not create a duty on Zouris to screen individual users for mental health eligibility. It is provided as a good-faith guidance notice. Responsibility for assessing suitability rests with the user and the Practitioner.
10. Practitioners: Independent Status
Practitioners on the Platform are independent service providers and are not employees, partners, agents, or representatives of Zouris. Zouris:
Does not employ, manage, or direct Practitioners in the delivery of their services
Does not supervise or control session content, methodology, or outcomes
Does not endorse or guarantee any Practitioner’s qualifications, services, or results
Does not verify credentials beyond the initial onboarding review
Is not a party to the contract between a Client and a Practitioner for a session
Practitioners are solely responsible for their ongoing professional qualifications, conduct, regulatory compliance, and the safety and appropriateness of their services. Zouris accepts no liability for acts, omissions, or professional negligence by Practitioners.
11. User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of content you create and post on the Platform (community posts, profile content, reviews). By posting content, you grant Zouris a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual licence to display, reproduce, distribute, and promote that content in connection with operating and marketing the Platform. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, subject to backup retention schedules.
You represent and warrant that content you post: (a) does not infringe any third party’s intellectual property rights; (b) is not defamatory, fraudulent, or illegal; and (c) does not violate applicable law. You are solely responsible for your content.
12. Non-Circumvention
You agree not to circumvent Zouris’s fee structure by arranging or conducting wellness sessions with a Practitioner you first encountered through the Platform outside of the Zouris booking system. This obligation applies to both Clients and Practitioners for 6 months following the last interaction with that Practitioner on the Platform.
Circumvention is a material breach of these Terms and may result in account termination and pursuit of damages.
13. Intellectual Property and Licensed Content
13.1 Zouris-Owned Content
All Platform content owned by or licensed to Zouris FZE — including the Zouris name, logo, brand identity, website and app design, UI/UX, editorial content, and software — is protected by UAE Federal Law No. 38 of 2021 on Copyright and Neighbouring Rights and applicable international IP conventions. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, translate, or commercially exploit any Zouris-owned content without prior written permission.
13.2 Licensed Audio and Music Content
The Zouris content library includes meditation audio tracks, sound healing compositions, and music produced by or licensed from independent composers and rights holders. This audio content is licensed for in-app streaming only. You may not:
Download, save, or export audio content from the Platform by any means
Screen-record, capture, or reproduce audio content
Share, redistribute, broadcast, or publicly perform audio content
Use audio content for commercial purposes, in other apps, or on other platforms
Remove or circumvent any digital rights management (DRM) applied to audio content
Unauthorised use of licensed audio content may constitute infringement of the rights of the original composer or licensor and expose you to civil or criminal liability under UAE Federal Law No. 38 of 2021 and applicable international copyright law. Zouris reserves the right to terminate accounts found to be in breach of this clause.
13.3 Practitioner Content
Content created by Practitioners (session materials, worksheets, guided scripts) remains the intellectual property of the Practitioner unless otherwise agreed in writing. Clients may not reproduce, share, or commercially use Practitioner content without the Practitioner’s explicit written consent.
14. Reviews and Ratings
14.1 Client Reviews
Following a completed session, Clients may leave a review and rating for the Practitioner. By submitting a review, you confirm that:
The review is based on your genuine personal experience of the session
The content is honest, fair, and not misleading
The review does not contain defamatory, offensive, or illegal content
You are not submitting a review on behalf of another person or in exchange for any incentive
14.2 Prohibited Review Conduct
The following are strictly prohibited:
Fake, fabricated, or incentivised reviews
Reviews submitted by Practitioners about themselves or competitors
Reviews designed to harm a Practitioner’s reputation without factual basis
Coordinated review campaigns
14.3 Moderation
Zouris reserves the right to remove any review that violates these guidelines, contains prohibited content, or is reported as inaccurate. Zouris will notify the reviewer where a review is removed and provide a brief reason. Zouris does not guarantee removal of all reviews that Practitioners disagree with, provided those reviews comply with this Section.
14.4 Practitioner Right to Flag
Practitioners may flag a review as potentially in breach of these guidelines by contacting admin@zouris.io with the booking reference and specific grounds. Zouris will review the complaint within 7 business days and communicate its decision. A Practitioner’s disagreement with the content of a review is not, on its own, grounds for removal.
Zouris does not edit, alter, or manipulate the content of reviews. Reviews reflect the personal views of individual clients and do not represent the views of Zouris.
15. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at www.zouris.io/privacy-policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection, processing, and use of your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.
16. Limitation of Liability
16.1 Scope
To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law and applicable mandatory law in your jurisdiction, Zouris shall not be liable for:
Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of data, revenue, profit, business opportunity, or goodwill
Damages arising from the acts, omissions, or professional conduct of any Practitioner
Harm arising from your reliance on Platform content, wellness information, or practitioner advice
Damages arising from your participation in any wellness modality
Interruption, suspension, or unavailability of the Platform
16.2 Monetary Cap
In no event shall Zouris’s total aggregate liability to you exceed the total amounts actually paid by you to Zouris in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or AED 500 (whichever is greater).
16.3 Mandatory Rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits Zouris’s liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by Zouris’s negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any other matter that cannot lawfully be excluded under UAE law or mandatory law in your jurisdiction.
UAE Consumer Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 15 of 2020) voids any contractual clause that exempts a supplier from mandatory statutory obligations. Nothing in these Terms overrides that law.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Zouris FZE, its officers, directors, and employees from and against any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from:
Your use of or inability to use the Platform
Your breach of these Terms
Your violation of applicable law
Your interactions with Practitioners or other users
Content you submit, post, or transmit through the Platform
Any claim that your content infringes a third party’s intellectual property or other rights
18. Termination
18.1 By Zouris
Zouris may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for breach of these Terms, harmful conduct, non-payment, or where required by law.
18.2 By You
You may close your account at any time by contacting admin@zouris.io or deleting though the mobile app. Upon account closure, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately. Prepaid sessions not yet taken are refunded in accordance with the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
18.3 Survival
The following Sections survive termination: 9 (Wellness Disclaimer), 11 (User-Generated Content), 12 (Non-Circumvention), 13 (Intellectual Property), 16 (Limitation of Liability), 17 (Indemnification), and 19 (Governing Law).
19. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
19.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
19.2 Informal Resolution First
Before commencing any formal proceedings, both parties agree to contact admin@zouris.io and allow 30 days for good faith negotiation and resolution of the dispute.
19.3 Mediation
If the dispute is not resolved through negotiation within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to mediation administered by a mutually agreed UAE-accredited mediator within a further 30 days.
19.4 Arbitration
If mediation fails or is not agreed within the timeframe, the dispute shall be finally resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), with the seat of arbitration in Dubai, UAE, and the language of arbitration in English. This applies to all users including Practitioners.
19.5 Urgent Relief
Nothing in this Section prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive or interim relief from a competent court where necessary to prevent irreparable harm.
19.6 GCC Users
For users in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, or Kuwait, where mandatory local law requires disputes to be resolved in local courts, that mandatory law applies notwithstanding the arbitration clause above.
19.7 EU/EEA/UK Users
Consumers resident in the EU, EEA, or UK retain the right under mandatory law to bring proceedings in their country of habitual residence and to benefit from the mandatory consumer protection provisions of that country.
20. Third-Party Links and Services
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, apps, or services. Zouris is not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party site. Links do not constitute endorsement. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.
21. Force Majeure
Zouris will not be liable for any failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemic, governmental action, war, civil unrest, internet infrastructure failure, cyberattack, or third-party service failure. We will take reasonable steps to mitigate impact and restore normal operations as soon as practicable.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the version number and date above, and by direct notification to registered users at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
23. General
Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, and (for Practitioners) the Practitioner Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Zouris regarding the Platform.
Severability: If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
No waiver: Failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. Zouris may assign rights in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Language: These Terms are in English. Translations are for convenience only.
